Before I left NYC, I had the fortunate chance to try out Totto Ramen soon after it opened! A few blocks from my old apartment, this ramen joint is a pretty small hole-in-the wall type place with a ramen bar and a couple tables for seating. Get there early for dinner or else you’ll have to write your name on a clipboard and wait for a seat to open up!
Once inside, you’ll be rewarded with pretty speedy service and a delicious bowl of noodles. I ordered the totto chicken paitan ramen – the broth was salty and fragrant, and the noodles cooked to the perfect consistency. Ippudo is still my favorite, but Totto is definitely very solid. A pretty great bowl of ramen to find in midtown.
Totto Ramen – 52nd. between 8th and 9th.
