KCC Farmer’s Market

When I had first discovered Union Square greenmarket in NYC, I thought that I gone to local food heaven – with its flower market and abundance of fresh produce, pastured eggs, locally raised grass-fed meat, and natural dairy products, it is the biggest and the best that New York City has to offer.  This was until I realized the food paradise that is HAWAII! On Saturday the bf and I went to the KCC Farmer’s Market in Oahu – this market runs from 6:30 am to 11:30am Saturdays … no daylight savings time here, so people actually get up early and go to bed early – amazing. The market has both fresh produce, a flower market, and tons and tons of really awesome yummy food to go – plus tons and tons of SAMPLES!! Bf and I walked around the entire market and after much deliberation we decided on trying out some kimchee sausage, a box of fresh mangoes, and a cup of iced Kona coffee (after all, it was only 9 in the morning and we had to save our appetites for the rest of the day!).
